Global Variables

There are a few global variables defined in the parser that are available everywhere within a Helix application

  1. $sess - This is the session object that holds data persisted between page requests.
  2. $params - This is a numerically indexed array of URL parameters with values that are taken from the URL after the page name but before the query string.
  3. $page - This is an object representing the currently requested page.

You can use these variables in any file, function or class in your Helix application.  Of course, in order to use them you will have to place a global declaration in your functions.
