The Helix Parser - Request Handling

Every request made to a Helix site is first evaluated by the parser file, located at Helix/etc/parser.php.  The main job of the parser is to evaluate the request and determine what should be sent back to the browser in the response.  All requests go through the parser, including requests for images, stylesheets, javascript, flash and any other resource.

You will never need to edit this file or customize it, but feel free to look at the code to get an idea of some Helix fundamentals.  All you really need to know is that the parser inspects the HTTP request, loads the utilities and session information, checks permissions, determines what to include as the response data, calls any codebehind functions, and does some clean-up.
